1. Never wait for someone to light your fire. The spark you need is inside you. It’s up to you to ignite it.
  2. Others can invite you to become upset, but you choose whether or not to accept the invitation.
  3. Sometimes the unfortunate things that happen to you put you on the path to the best things that will happen to you. Be patient and be open to learning from the things that happen.
  4. When everything seems to be going against you, remember that anything that takes flight goes against the wind. In the midst of struggles, choose to soar.
  5. When you feel badly because of a mistake you’ve made, it doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with you. It simply means you’re human.
  6. When others reassure you that they love you, it doesn’t release you from loving yourself.
  7. Surround yourself with people who encourage you, support you, and lift you up. You will feel better about yourself and have a more positive outlook on life
  8. Close your eyes and imagine the very best version of yourself. Then work on letting go of any part of you that doesn’t fit that image.
  9. Your mind is a powerful thing. It can empower you or enslave you. It can take you to the heights of positive thinking and joy or it can plunge you to the depths of negative self-talk and misery. Learn to use your mind to your own best advantage.
  10. When you are going through a tough situation and you wonder where God is, remember this: good teachers are always quiet during the test. They keep an eye on you, but they let you show what you can do.
