Everyone needs a hobby. A hobby is an activity done regularly in your leisure time for pleasure. Research shows that those who regularly participate in a creative activity, such as a hobby, are happier, healthier, and live longer than those who do not. Say that again. They’re happier, healthier, and live longer. Wow! That’s quite a testimonial. But there’s more. A hobby gives you purpose, a feeling that you’re doing something meaningful. It gives you something to do....something to enjoy. It helps fight boredom and depression. It’s better than medicine. And there’s still more. A hobby builds your self-confidence. The more you work on it the more competent you become....and the more competent you become the better you feel about yourself. You feel like you’re good at something.... and you are! And finally, a hobby involves learning. You find yourself wanting to learn more about your hobby....how to do it better. It challenges you and keeps your mind active and functioning and healthy. Now, read the definition again. What does a hobby do for you? A hobby gives you pleasure. It gives you something to enjoy. It makes you happy. It’s better than medicine.
Yes. Very much agree! Hope you are doing well. Haven’t run into you, out and about, recently.
