(1) Make the decision to close all doors that are leading you to nowhere. Open wide the doors that lead to happiness, fulfillment and well-being. Choose a path and enjoy the journey. And as you travel, take the time to listen to nature and admire the rainbows. (2) Write your life story. Much of your story is already written. You can’t change the beginning or part of the middle that is already finished. Work on writing a good ending. Make it your story, not what others think it should be. (3) Be willing to take risks. As you travel down your chosen path, you can’t always play it safe. If you want to reach your goals, be brave, take chances, make mistakes. Risk-taking leads to learning, and learning leads to growth. (4) Prepare yourself for hurts. Some things in life are going to hurt. Make sure you give yourself permission to feel the pain. Don’t deny what you feel. To feel is to heal. Slow down if you have to, but keep moving down that path. Don’t stop your journey. Write a good ending to your story. (5) Love what you have. Nothing is forever. Whatever it is that you love... people, things, animals.... faith, hopes, dreams.... spend time caring and sharing. Take nothing for granted. Love what you have while you have it, and make it part of your story. Make your ending a good one.
