BE A GIRAFFE AND STAND TALL

Did you ever feel like everyone else
was sitting in the sunshine
and you were sitting in the rain?
And did you ever feel like you
were a beautiful rainbow
but everyone else was colorblind
and didn’t notice you?
Did you ever feel like the
monsters that are supposed to be
under your bed are actually
stomping around inside your head?
Did you ever feel like Humpty Dumpty
and you have fallen off that darned wall,
and there you are on the ground
in pain and in pieces
and the parade just marches on by?
If so, here’s what you need to do.
Look in the mirror
and pretend you’re a giraffe.
Seriously. It’s called
BE A GIRAFFE AND STAND TALL.
Every morning look in that mirror,
stretch your neck as high as it can go,
and STAND TALL.
Look at your long neck and
start thinking TALL THOUGHTS.
Think big, think lofty, think tall,
think elevated, think lifted high.
Take a deep breath and fill that
long giraffe neck with confidence
and tall positive thoughts.
Then go out and start your day
as a tall giraffe.
You’ll be head, neck and shoulders
above everyone else.
It will change your perspective.
It will change your outlook.
You will feel better about yourself.
