My daughter sent me a beautiful
poem about a smile
by an anonymous author.
This is my version of it.

YOUR SMILE HAS POWER

A smile is a free gift
you can give someone.
It costs nothing but gives much.
It enriches those who receive it
without making those who give it poor.
It is often briefly given,
but the memory of it
sometimes lasts a lifetime.
None are so rich
that they can get along without it,
and none are so poor
that they cannot be made rich by it.
A smile 
cannot be bought, borrowed or stolen,
for it has no value
until it is given away.
Some people are too tired or thoughtless
to give you a smile,
so give them one of yours,
for no one needs a smile as much
as the one who has none to give.
