LIFE IS LIKE A RACE: YOU’RE RUNNING NOT TO WIN BUT TO FINISH
The Kentucky Derby is a major sporting event where horses run to win a race. They compete against each other to see which horse is the fastest. Life itself is like a race. But you’re not running to WIN a race. Your simplify running to FINISH. That’s what’s important in life.....TO FINISH. You’re not running to compete against others. You’re running to achieve your dreams. Your only competition is against yourself It’s YOU against YOU. It’s one part of you that wants to stop...to give up, against one part of you that wants to keep running. And when your body wants to quit, you have to run with your heart. But you must keep running. Run with perseverance. Run with determination. Run as if nothing is impossible. Run as if anything is attainable. Leap over every hurdle that comes your way. Overcome obstacles.....jump over walls. Just keep running. Be determined to let nothing stop you. Be determined to do your best. And when at last you see the finish line, stop and give thanks......and say, ”I believed. I knew it was possible. I had faith. I fought the good fight ever step of the way, and I finished the race.”
Absolutely beautiful and inspirational, Chuck. Thank you 🙏
