- Legacy is what lives beyond you. You can choose to make your life a story that people will always remember, and there is no better life story than one that demonstrates love, conviction and kindness. You get to decide the legacy that you will leave.
- It’s a fact. You’re going to die. You can’t live forever, but you can create something that others will look at and remember you with fondness. What you create will keep your memory alive.
- People like hearing someone say, “I love you.” Make it your legacy to touch many hearts with your love and compassion. Your fingerprints will not fade from the lives you touch.
- Rather than focusing on making your presence known by others, quietly live your life in such a way that your absence will be deeply felt long after you are gone.
- Your life story is the legacy you will leave to your heirs and friends. Make your story one they will want to proudly share over and over with others.
- The footprints you leave in the sand will wash away. The footprints you leave on hearts will be there forever.
So true!

I think about this often. I write about it. And I have a ‘secret’ blog I write in periodically for my kids/grands/etc. Things I think about that may address some things.

What a neat idea to have a ‘secret’ blog for family.

Rest assured Dad your footprints are forever in my heart! Thank you for all your treasured advice, hard work and sacrifices, your laugh out loud fun and your quiet ways that I have admired all my life, sometimes when you didn’t even know I was watching. Your life story is one I have always been proud to share and you have blessed me and my family with your presence. With love forever and a day. xx
