O’ THE THINGS THAT WE CARRY

O’ the things that we carry.

When we’re young we often

carry childhood fears.

As we mature,

we carry hopes and dreams.

As we get older we often carry

the weight of the world

on our shoulders.

Too often we carry

guilt and regret.

When we face trials and struggles,

we know we must carry on.

When we see beauty

we carry the images in our mind.

And the people we love dearly

we carry in our hearts…

forever.

O’ the things that we carry.
