The sounds of Christmas
whether from afar
or places near
how nostalgic they all are.
Children laughing
sleigh bells jingling
carolers caroling
church choirs singing
horses clopping
horses neighing
footsteps crunching
musicians playing
church bells ringing
fireplaces crackling
winter birds singing
skaters gliding
blustery breezes blowing
silent snow snowing
Santa ho, ho, ho-ing.
O’ the joyful sounds of Christmas,
how special they are.
These are sweet sounds that warm the heart.. Thank you for the nostalgic imagery. It takes me back to my childhood.

Thanks, Claudia. I’m thinking that the sounds of cookie tin lids being banged open in the middle of the night might be a rather “inside” secret. But it’s a good blog idea. Thank you.
