AN AFRICAN PARABLE: INSIGHTS AND APPLICATION

PARABLE

Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.  It knows that it must run faster than the fastest lion, or it will be killed.

Every morning a lion wakes up.  It knows that it must outrun the slowest gazelle, or it will starve to death.

APPLICATION

  1. Get your rest.
  2. Wake up early.
  3. Focus.  Know what you plan to accomplish.
  4. Get going.  Take action.  Don’t tarry.
  5. Achieve your goals.
  6. Find a quiet spot to rest.
  7. Reflect on your day.
  8. Feel good about what you accomplished.
  9. Plan tomorrow so you’re ready to go early.
  10. Rest.

  1. Captivating thoughts Dad. No matter if the day offers embodiment of the gazelle, the lion, or even an invitation to soar like a bird above it all, I definitely believe in embracing each day with focus, purpose, and time to rest and reflect. I hope you too are adhering to # 1, 6 & 10!!
