LIFE MOVES AT A FAST PACE
It’s tempting to pursue life with such breathless haste that you risk missing all the good stuff there is to enjoy. And here’s the thing, most of the good stuff is free. It doesn’t cost you to enjoy it. So, as you journey through the years, take the time to soak in all that life offers and avoid having regrets later because you missed them.
LIFE HAS HURDLES
Hurdles in life happen to everyone. It’s what you do with them that determines your character and whether or not you will succeed. Every hurdle is either an opportunity to grow or an obstacle to keep you from growing. You get to decide.
VALUE YOUR FRIENDS
Over the course of your life many friends will enter it and leave it. Value those friends who leave footprints on your heart, treasured memories in your mind, and indescribable joy in your soul. Make every effort to keep these friendships alive and well because these are the friends that will always be there for you.
CREATE YOUR HAPPINESS
Never wait for everything to be perfect so you can be happy because happiness isn’t about a fairy tale life. Rather, create happiness by reflecting on all the little moments of joy that occur in your everyday life, the ones that make you smile. This is where your happiness lies and it’s there every day.
FOCUS ON GAIN, NOT PAIN
Although you cannot always change the physical or emotional pain you endure, you can change how you view your situation. In spite of your circumstances, if you replace negative thoughts with positive ones and consistently strive to make your life better, even a little better, positive things will happen. A positive attitude awakens the inner strength you need to rise above your pain.
LIVE SIMPLY
Live your life as simply as possible and you will be amazed at how uncomplicated your life can become. The best things in life are simple things, those that move you emotionally, like sunrises, oceans waves, blue skies, birds singing, or a friendly smile. Simplicity does not mean missing out on life, rather it means discovering the things that really matter and be satisfied.
KEEP CHANGE IN PERSPECTIVE
You can change yourself, you might even change the world, but you cannot change other people, so don’t try. People change only when they choose to change. You can’t force change or do it for them. Instead, focus on creating a positive environment that encourages and promotes change. It can work miracles. In the meantime, learn to be patient.
NEVER GIVE UP
Always let hope, not pain or despair, shape your future. In your darkest moments, hope makes the present more bearable because it helps you believe that tomorrow or the next day will be better. Most great achievements have been by people who maintained hope and refused to give up.
NURTURE RELATIONSHIPS
Good relationships don’t just happen. They take effort. A good way to kill a relationship is to neglect it. Neglected relatioships grow stale and distant. Good relationships are characterized by transparent communication, trust in one another, and unconditional love. Give time to cultivating and nurturing your relationships.
DREAMS REQUIRE FAITH
Achieving dreams in life requires faith, believing that your dreams can come true. Believe in yourself and take an active role in doing your part to make your dreams happen. Have a clear vision of what you want to accomplish and set realistic goals. Dreams don’t just happen. They require a lot of planning, prayer, hard work and determination. But always remember, all things are possible for those who believe.
