A lady in a faded gingham dress, and her husband, dressed in overalls walked  timidly into Harvard University President’s Office and requested to talk with the president. PARABLE OF THE FROG THAT JUMPED TO FREEDOM

Two frogs were hopping along having a friendly conversation when they unexpectedly hopped into a deep well.  They jumped and jumped but could not jump out of the deep well.  Thus, they started to yell for help. A group of frogs came hopping by, heard the yelling, and looked into the well.  It looked like an impossible situation.  They concluded that the well was too deep for the two trapped frogs to escape and told them to give up and stop jumping.  It was useless to keep trying. WE ALL NEED AN “UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN” ATTITUDE

I think it’s good sometimes to reflect on what it is that INSPIRES us because it tells us something about ourselves. It gives us insights into who we are. Many things inspire me. One thing I go to when I need a good does of inspiration is a movie, ”The Unsinkable Molly Brown.” It’s based on a true story. Molly Brown was a philanthropist   who survived the Titanic. She’s remembered for helping people get safely off the sinking ship. YOU SHOULD NEVER HAVE TO EARN TRUST

TRUST is not something to be EARNED because you can NEVER EARN it. UNCONDITIONAL TRUST is like UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.  It’s a GIFT. In its pure, gracious form, it is given without conditions. Even when a person makes a mistake or does a serious wrong,   the goal is still to TRUST the person. TRUST means believing that down deep the person has the ABILITY to do what is right. to make the right decisions. PARABLE OF THE KING AND THE LITTLE BOY

There was once a king who decided to take a tour of his kingdom. It was a long arduous journey.  The roads were rough and bumpy and the king complained about the uncomfortable ride and the fact that it hurt his feet when he got out and walked on the roads.     Upon his return to the palace the king sent out a decree that ordered the countrymen to kill their domestic animals and cover the roads with leather to make them softer for travel and for walking.  This caused an uproar in the country.  People said it would … Continue reading PARABLE OF THE KING AND THE LITTLE BOY

PARABLE OF THE GIRL NOBODY WANTED

In one of the border skirmishes that the Russians had with the Ukrainians, little six-year old Anna‘s parents were killed and she was placed in an orphanage. Americans often visited the Ukraine to find children to adopt.  On this one occasion, a group of American couples were at the orphanage talking to the children, hoping to discover at least one child that would appeal to them, one they could adopt and love and take home to America.
