What a surprise I got on this beautiful Autumn Day as I walked through the garden. There, proudly BLOOMING, was a single purple coneflower…. a Late Bloomer. It made me think about life and how it’s never too late to BLOOM. It’s perfectly okay to be a LATE BLOOMER. According to the theory of aerodynamics, the bumble bee is unable to fly. This is because the size, weight, and shape of its body in relations to the total wing spread makes flying impossible. But the bumble bee, being ignorant of these profound scientific truths, goes ahead and flies anyway and manages to make a little honey every day. I admire people who, like the bumble bee, are told that what they want to do is impossible, yet they go ahead and do it anyway…and do it well. Believing helps to make it so. I learned something new yesterday that shocked me. I read some research that said Americans tend to WASTE TIME in the SAME WAY…..EVERY DAY! The article explained that there’s a DIFFERENCE between LEISURE TIME and WASTED TIME. LEISURE TIME is purposeful relaxation and enjoyment. It’s good for you. WASTED TIME is….. well, just a waste of time. Hmmmm…… The article further said that TIME WASTED IS LIFE WASTED. We’re wasting hunks of our life every single day. WOW! Each morning I get up, get my cup of coffee, walk through the sunroom, open the patio door, step outside and view the pathway that leads through the arch and into the woods.
