SATURDAY IS SITURDAY: HAVE A GOOD ONE

Saturday is SITURDAY! It’s the day after a long week and was created to give you the opportunity to have a change of pace – to SIT and have a quiet moment just doing nothing, maybe watching the wind blow through the trees, listening to soothing music, reading something inspiring. I can choose to do things I want to do and things I have to do….but the day … Continue reading SATURDAY IS SITURDAY: HAVE A GOOD ONE

3 THINGS I WISH I KNEW WHEN I WAS 20 YEARS OLD

LIFE MOVES SWIFTLYI wish I had realized how swiftly life moves. Like most 20 year olds, I somehow thought life would go on forever. I saw people in their 30s, 40s, even 60s and above and never pictured that I would be “one of them.” I took life for granted. I never thought about my own mortality. I got caught up in the fast track and the busyness of life. As I look back, I wish I had taken more time to enjoy and appreciate each day. I now realize I missed so much and I regret it. I wish … Continue reading 3 THINGS I WISH I KNEW WHEN I WAS 20 YEARS OLD

LEAVE THEM SOME GOOD MEMORIES

I’ve heard people say, ”At least she lived a full life.” or ”He’s fortunate.  He had a full life.” Hmmm….it makes me wonder…. What in the world is a FULL LIFE? Some say it’s achieving everything you dreamed of, or…. helping others achieve what they dreamed of, or… having no regrets on your deathbed, or… leaving the world a little better than you found it. OH THE JOY THE BLACK-EYED SUSANS BRING

But oh such JOY those black-eyed susan’s brought me all summer long — their bright yellow faces and dark brown eyes made me smile each time I was in their presence. But now as Autumn creeps in I look at these once beautiful flowers and see that they are fast fading and will soon be gone. As I sit on my garden bench, I ponder. I could easily focus on … Continue reading OH THE JOY THE BLACK-EYED SUSANS BRING
